Oh for those of us with no real Uncle Sam to bail us out, times are tough and tight. I could use a bail out. I would love for someone to come along and say, 'here's a blank check, fill it in'. My debt gets in the way of getting a job. I'm behind the 8 ball, in a catch 22, so-to-speak. 2 Corinthians 4:8
International Standard Version (©2008)
In every way we're troubled but not crushed, frustrated but not in despair,
'To despair, is to turn your back on God'. Marilla Cuthbert, From Anne of Green Gables.
There are those living in tent cities, I praise your name, God that I have a roof over my head. There are those who go to bed without supper. I praise your name God that my husband and I can afford to invite people over to our home for dinner. Thank you that we can share what we have with others. There are those whose beds are wet with their tears. Psalm 6:6 I am weary with my sighing; Every night I make my bed swim, I dissolve my couch with my tears.
Thank you, Lord for your joy.
Psalm 28:7
The LORD is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.
What a comfort the psalms have been to me during this time. To see David, who is called a mighty man of God, crying and weeping but getting through it all because of the Lord, offers me hope. I am dry. Don't get me wrong. I need some watering, with a big watering can! Don't let me get dried up and crunch, Lord. Keep me green and pliable. Thank you for all You have done and all You have yet to do in my life.
Amen.
