Former pastor, author, playwright, speaker, mentor and visionaire, Sheritha Bowman was born on December 2 in the mid 60's in Washington, DC. It was her beloved, late Grandma Margaret Ann Mitchell Cary who instilled a fear of God in her life by teaching her to pray as well as taking her to Sunday school when she was a young girl. Yet it wasn't until her post high school years that she would accept the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
In 1998, Sheritha penned and published her first book, "Soul Inspiration for Women Married to Unbelievers." God chose to use this book as the catalyst that would begin her journey into ministry. Soul inspiration for Women Married to Unbelievers inspired the fellowship, Abraham's Daughters, a prayer support fellowship for women married to unbelievers or men who are living carnally. Through this fellowship, many marriages have been restored and women have joyfully witnessed their spouses come into the knowledge of Jesus Christ and receive salvation.
Sheritha also serves as ministry mentor and spiritual counselor to an on-line community. She is a conference speaker who combines both talent and anointing to bring healing, inspiration and restoration to those in need, both young and old. Sheritha's dramatic and captivating portrayals of women in the Bible have rendered her a much sought after speaker at ministry events and church conferences.
In 2002, Sheritha was ordained as a minister and installed as pastor of Soul Inspiration Church Ministries. The mandate was to open the doors of the church to the hurt and lost. For such a time, God used Sheritha to minister the love, hope and salvation of Jesus Christ, baptize, marry and lead many to their life's purpose. In July of 2004, Sheritha closed the doors of the "church building" and answered the call to walk in what she believes is her true God-ordained life's purpose: Author and Playwright. God confirmed this belief by giving her the script, "The ME Nobody Knows" in which she penned in long hand in a matter of hours!
Sheritha wrote, directed and is featured in the heart-wrenching gospel production, "The ME Nobody Knows" a production about spiritual and emotional healing and deliverance. She also wrote and directed the gospel musical production, "How Hannah Got Her Groove Back!" and is currently touring her new gospel stage plays, “Lock-In" and "Girl Talk.”
Sheritha has authored several books including, “Soul Inspiration: The Triumphant Testimony of a Praying Wife” an account of her encouraging testimony which has been featured in ESSENCE magazine, conferences and radio stations across the country.
Sheritha is founder of the Soul Inspiration Theatre Company, a 501C-3 nonprofit theatre company that exists to promote the love, salvation and faithfulness of Jesus Christ through thought provoking, inspirational dramatic productions.

Hi, Sheritha. Just trying to hang. I'm working my Web/graphic design biz and working on my third novel, Saving Tate Michaels, the third book in the Isaac Hunt three-some.
Sheritha, what an essential ministry you have, helping to heal marriages! And both of us are testimonies to the faithful influence of a godly grandmother. Both of mine showed me the love of Jesus, and both were Sunday school teachers.
Yes, your comment is up about complimentary tickets to your upcoming production of Girl Talk on Nov. 1st. I am so grateful that you thought of me; however, I am in a production that same day, Women, Power and Words that The Essential Theatre is producing 3 & 7:30 shows @ Playbill Cafe. Hopefully, the next time we will have we will be able to attend each others. But God willing, I will see you at the November Black Women Playwrights' Group meeting. Lois called me with our assignment that we will present at our Christmas Gala.
Welcome Sis Sherith. Great to have you here. I just finished drafting a play. It's very Nigerian and Nollywood-like. Would you be interested?
Blessings,
