Preaching the Gospel; Praying the Word; Playing the Music is what Prophetess Annie Byrd is known for. Since the age of 5 years old, Prophetess Byrd has been given the gift of music. She has played for many churches in the surrounding areas of Tallahassee, Florida. Along with her musical talent, she has been blessed to be taught by one of the greatest musician in the gospel industry, Pastor Ben Tankard, Nashville, Tennessee. As she began to explore more into the gospel world, she received Jesus Christ as her Savior on May 13, 1982. She then joined her family church, Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, Monticello, Florida under the leadership of the late Reverend C. C. Curry. Since then, Prophetess Byrd has been given opportunities to not only be a musician at her home church, but her fore-parents church located in Monticello, Florida, along with many gospel groups and recording artists. While venturing as a musician, she knew that God had another purpose for her life. She was called into the ministry January 1991. Since she has received this calling upon her life, she has blessed many people with the words that God placed upon the fruit of her lips. The profound and ordained Word has not only been preached by her, but prophesied through the gift of prophecy with an embrace of her smile. From exercising these gifts, the Lord favored this motto upon her ministry “Experiencing the Beauty of Holiness”, which launched her out into many opportunities to host conferences, seminars as well as be minister to the body of Christ. As God has blessed her ministry, she has been favored to be with the pastoral guidance of Reverend Dr. Harvey W. Virgil. Reverend Dr. Virgil along with his brother, Reverend Dr. B. J. Virgil trained her to move forward into her next destination in ministry. On September 25, 2005 she was ordained and given the mantle to be an Associate Pastor. She is currently holding that position along with Minister of Music at the Vision of Hope Missionary Baptist Church Independent, located in Thomasville, Georgia. As the anointing of God has favored her highly in the ministry, she has been given the opportunity to trained and prepared ministers for ordination under the direction of the renowned author and pastor, Rev. Dr. B. J. Virgil. Alongside with Rev. Dr. B. J. Virgil, she has authored a series that has been a blessing to pastors and seminary instructors, "The Characteristics of A Preacher". With all of this in mind, Prophetess Byrd is the proud and renowned mother to an anointed and precious prince, Earl J. Ray, III. Get Ready to experience “The Beauty of Holiness”.

Sometimes the door opens and it is a hand that is reaching for you and you don't know why, but God said that it is the hand of help. This hand must take you to the next location. Wait on Him to give you the hand.

I just finished reading and reviewing Secrets and Lies. It's making my best of 2009 fiction list. So that one gets my vote!

All of these seem to be great reads. I'm intrigued by anything dealing with twins since I was one (my twin died before we were born) and now I have 4 year old twin godsons. But I will go with the group's decision.

This spirit comes in when we commit idolatry. Yes, us. We may call ourselves Christians but we still sin and commit idolatry. The Israelites knew the Lord and sinned by idolatry (so many examples but one: 2 Chronicles 25:18). They are a shadow of us…
