Words Are Inadequate to Thank You for Your Prayers

I'm home after 10 days out of town as my dad had and recovered from the Whipple surgery, which removed a large portion of his pancreas, a small amount of the duodenum, and his gall bladder. Both the surgeon and an associate of his, who's also a good friend of my brother, feel my dad has a good prognosis. He will be taking chemotherapy beginning in a few weeks. God has worked out every detail along the way.

I'd Appreciate Prayer for My Dad, Mom, & Me

As my mom has been in bed with her back for two weeks, I'll be the only one accompanying my dad to Charleston, SC for a diagnostic procedure. He will see the doctor Monday, have the procedure Tuesday, spend one night in the hospital, then see the doctor again before he's dismissed on Wednesday to travel home.

He's nervous about the outcome, even though He knows and trusts the Lord. The great part is that in talking with the doctor by phone, he learned the doctor is a believer.

I hope your holiday is full of the joy of Jesus's birth, the sobriety of His death for us, and the thrill of His resurrection. May we remember not just the baby in the manger, but the King of Kings Who will one day reign forever. And may we worship Him, not just at Christmas, but all through the year, with our lives and our lips.

Hayden Heads Home! Fund-raiser for the Family Saturday

Read about Hayden leaving the hospital to rest and have some normal five-year-old time before his next surgery, followed by radiation treatment.

Our choir, orchestra, and many singers will perform a benefit concert at our church this Saturday night, November 15. Please pray that God will be glorified and money will be raised for Hayden's family's many expenses while he was in the hospital this go-round.

HI there! Sorry it's taken awhile to get back to you....the picture was taken on our boat...we were out on the lake on a hot summer day...all of us...five grandbabies and five adults...it was so much fun.....nothing beats a day in the hot sun with the family in my book :)
