Each year, I ask God to give me a word for this year. This year, I'd like to share this tradition with you sistahs (and brothahs) too. I'm always inspired by the words the Lord gives to everyone. Looking forward to your responses.

Father God,
Give us one holy passion, one magnificent obsession--to know You. Let us see Your hand in the coming year and hear Your voice. Give us a word of direction, purpose and promise for the year to come.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Hello everyone, my name is Stacey and I'm going to jump right in this discussion.

The word that I am going to share is REPLEVIN.

In 2007, I attended a Prophetic Conference in Delaware and the speaker Apostle Jane Hamon began to talk about restoration and how God is restoring the Body of Christ.

She mentioned the word REPLEVIN and said that it is a judgment or decree made by a judge in favor of a person which authorizes them to recover all (goods, property, marriages, etc.) that has been taking away or stolen from them.

Although I received this word in 2007, I have been reflecting on it since the earlier part of 2009 and I decree it over your life today, whereever you are, whatever you need, whatever has been stolen from you, I decree in Jesus name that God will REPLEVIN you and that He will restore unto you the joy of your salvation.

The dictionary defines the word REPLEVIN as action by claimant to recover goods: an act or writ to recover goods by somebody who claims to own them and who promises to have the claim later tested in court

REPLEVIN is an anointing to recover all that was stolen from you...let's go to 2 Kings 8:1, and learn about the Shunamite Woman's Land Being Restored To Her *smile* are you excited yet?

1-3 Years before, Elisha had told the woman whose son he had brought to life, "Leave here and go, you and your family, and live someplace else. God has ordered a famine in the land; it will last for seven years." The woman did what the Holy Man told her and left. She and her family lived as aliens in the country of Philistia for seven years. Then, when the seven years were up, the woman and her family came back. She went directly to the king and asked for her home and farm.

4-5 The king was talking with Gehazi, servant to the Holy Man, saying, "Tell me some stories of the great things Elisha did." It so happened that as he was telling the king the story of the dead person brought back to life, the woman whose son was brought to life showed up asking for her home and farm.

Gehazi said, "My master the king, this is the woman! And this is her son whom Elisha brought back to life!"

6 The king wanted to know all about it, and so she told him the story. The king assigned an officer to take care of her, saying, "Make sure she gets everything back that's hers, plus all profits from the farm from the time she left until now."

This is a good example of the definition of REPLEVIN *smile* and my prayer today is that GOD will REPLEVIN you, that HE will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

My prayer is that you will eat in plenty, that you will be satisfied, that you will praise the name of the LORD your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and that you, (God's chosen ones) will never be ashamed, this prayer is based on Joel 2:25-26.

Hope Is On Horizon,
Stacey

I am a new joiner to SistahFaith Network. My new word for this year is a very familiar scripture. I received this Word on New Years Morning about 2:00 AM - Philippians 1:6: "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ:"

THE WORD IS COMPLETION. He will complete that which he began. Whatever prophesy, whatever plan, whatever promise, God will fulfill it in 2009. There is a great work that must be done for souls to be saved and lives to be changed. Once this is done, then shall there be more promises, more prophesies, and more plans to be fulfilled for yet another season. He will perform it for the edification of the Saints and the ultimate praise of his GLORY. Hallelujah!

You are because I AM. Now act like you know that. Trust me and don't be afraid. Have I ever not been there for you? I am the same, yesterday, today and forever. Though outwardly you are wasting away; inwardly you are being renewed day by day; for your light and momentary troubles are acheiving for you an eternal glory that will FAR OUTWEIGH THEM ALL. Word. Amen. So be it.

I just finished reading and reviewing Secrets and Lies. It's making my best of 2009 fiction list. So that one gets my vote!

All of these seem to be great reads. I'm intrigued by anything dealing with twins since I was one (my twin died before we were born) and now I have 4 year old twin godsons. But I will go with the group's decision.

This spirit comes in when we commit idolatry. Yes, us. We may call ourselves Christians but we still sin and commit idolatry. The Israelites knew the Lord and sinned by idolatry (so many examples but one: 2 Chronicles 25:18). They are a shadow of us…
