My 76 yr.old father accepted salvation on his bed of afflication

Last night I received one of the second best gift in life. I received a text from my sister in Va informing that my father was bleeding internally and he did not want to go to the hospital; I asked the LORD what to do since He told me never to go back into that house. The LORD told me to go and anoint and bring my father to Christ plus say good-bye.

When I got to the house I poured oil at the door then I ranged the bell. I greeted my mother then I walked upstairs to my father's room. I said, daddy the LORD told me to anoint you and pray with you is that alright. yea he said. Then I asked him why he did not want to go to the hospital? He said he was ready to go home. I then said," Daddy is Jesus Christ your personal Savior? I asked him several times til no answer.

Then I said,"Well daddy I would like to know that when I crossed over I would see you. Do you not want to go where grandma is and grandpa and great grandma? He said, yes. I then told him to repeat after me the sinners prayer and I anointed him took a photo and told him I love him.

No matter what happens now I have had closure from all the years of abuse, physical, mental, verbal and psychological. I was able to tell my father I love him and I have a wonderful photo of my father and I at his bed. The icing on the cake is my FATHER EXCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS HIS LORD AND SAVIOR.

I the one that was not wanted and the reject of the family God used to bring him to Him. Thank You Lord

God Bless you SiS! What a very poignant, and bitter-sweet testimony! Two were set free by the shed blood of ONE. This11th hour miriacle of salvation and dual reconciliation has released you into, and released in you the full measure and portion,of God's glory and anointing for your life, because you are now every whit whole, even though we recognize we are complete and entire in Christ. Now, shall a special glory abide in you to reconcile families and to draw wayward husbands and errant fathers back to their covenant families, and more importantly, to the foot of Calvary's cross. The covenant that every daughter deserves and should have as a birth right was denied you, but God so u
intended that you receive a Father's blesing that He made it one of the last things he would do/ So many things shall be added to your life, retroactively, and with "interest", and you shall receive the bonus of "Joseph", in that a time of famine shall come and even thine enemies will have to acknowledge that every dream you ever spoke of has come to pass or it lieth at the door, because yours will be the only "sorehouse" they can find. Even amongst thine own kin, shall the wellsprings of salvation and healing overflow to the shores of utter deliverance., and all former curses of rebellion, stubborness, legalism, and strife shall be destroyed. Rejoice, beloved! Rejoice! Again I say "REJOICE"! Your change has come and all that you touch shall prosper!

NO WAY! Not your list. Are you kidding??? You read like every Christian fiction book that comes out. I am so floored. (Okay...I'm screaming in public). I can't believe I could make your list. That is a Christmas present. Thanks Edgy Sistah!

I just finished reading and reviewing Secrets and Lies. It's making my best of 2009 fiction list. So that one gets my vote!

All of these seem to be great reads. I'm intrigued by anything dealing with twins since I was one (my twin died before we were born) and now I have 4 year old twin godsons. But I will go with the group's decision.

This spirit comes in when we commit idolatry. Yes, us. We may call ourselves Christians but we still sin and commit idolatry. The Israelites knew the Lord and sinned by idolatry (so many examples but one: 2 Chronicles 25:18). They are a shadow of us…
