Unfortunately, I am not surprised by these numbers. Today's society looks at marriage as just another disposable item in this disposable world. In my opinion the focus seems to be more on the wedding and not the marriage and the vows spoken. All too often I have heard of situations where thousands of dollars are spent on the wedding only for the marriage to be over in less than one year.
Although, I have been married for 32 years, I would like to take a look at the book "Moving The Furniture ......... Any relationship that has gone on for that amount of time could always use some freshening up.
Hi Daphne,
Thanks for replying to my question. I agree with you because I've known couples who have gotten married, and then divorced but they were still paying for the wedding after the divorce. Congratulations on your long term marriage. I don't generally meet too many women that have been married longer than me. I do hope that you'll enjoy the book once it's available. I'll certainly keep you posted...

The joy of the Lord IS our strength and we live by that. Of course we have D-R-A-M-A but all and all we both think it is fresh. The stats are not surprising. Most people I know who are under 32 (on average) have no interest in getting married and their parents are divorced or were never married.
