So true readers rule and read I do. Today I'm finishing up Radical Gratitude, EllenVaughn author and Mirror, Mirror on the Wall, Have I Got News for you!! Liz Curtis Higgs. Wow! I'm laughing out loud and more grateful to Father God than ever.
Peace and Blessings,
Alexis

I'm reading A Sin and A Shame by Victoria Christopher Murray and Living the Maximized Life (How to Win No Matter where You're Starting From) by Dr. I.V. Hilliard. I have a pile of TBR books, but the truth is, some non-fiction books I read over and over limiting my time for new ones - aggh! (And of course, I can't wait to get my copy of Rhythms of Grace - my bookclub had a little delay :-(

Cuz,
Pass them on when you finish.

I like that one! I'll have to share that with my children and adopt it for myself as well that readers rule the world. I am always looking for ways to encourage them to become avid readers.

I've started reading The Midnight Clear, and I'm about halfway done. Next on my list is, God Still Don't Like Ugly, because a teenager at church had this with her on Sunday. I promised the child that I would read the book soon and have a discussion with her afterwards just to keep encouraging her to read...

I am reading Sacred Parenting by Gary Thomas, Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero, and Trading Dreams at Midnight by Diane McKinney Whetstone. So far all are great reads.....

I'm working on The Power of a Woman's Words by Sharon Jaynes. I'm also brushing up on Women's Ministry leadership through 4 or 5 reference books I have. My husband just recently finished my ministry office in our basement, and I have ALL my books out on shelves for the first time since moving here 3 years ago. What a blessing! Thank you, Jesus! I cannot loan out books, because I'm a book highlighter! So I've been pursuing various books I've read over the years (now out of boxes!), touching on the highlighted areas. God is soooooo good!

I'm reading Rhythms of Grace by a friend who you may have heard of--Marilynn Griffith. Right! Our gracious SistahFaith network host. From those of you who have already read Rhythms of Grace, what is the main thing you took away?

NO WAY! Not your list. Are you kidding??? You read like every Christian fiction book that comes out. I am so floored. (Okay...I'm screaming in public). I can't believe I could make your list. That is a Christmas present. Thanks Edgy Sistah!

I just finished reading and reviewing Secrets and Lies. It's making my best of 2009 fiction list. So that one gets my vote!

Well, Rhonda I'm going to go with your book because I'll be starting it this week to post a blog, plus the book club I've finally started is going to read your book as well. Can't wait to hear what everyone else wants. What I've glanced through so f…

All of these seem to be great reads. I'm intrigued by anything dealing with twins since I was one (my twin died before we were born) and now I have 4 year old twin godsons. But I will go with the group's decision.

This spirit comes in when we commit idolatry. Yes, us. We may call ourselves Christians but we still sin and commit idolatry. The Israelites knew the Lord and sinned by idolatry (so many examples but one: 2 Chronicles 25:18). They are a shadow of us…
